Third installment of sounds made using various incarnations of the Buchla Electric Music Box.

Constructed around a 42-minute improvised performance, Buchlaworks: Module III was written and recorded during an extended stay in Stinson Beach, California. During this time I had the incredible opportunity to meet one of my musical heroes, who stressed the spontaneous and performative nature of the Buchla upon me.

Inspired by that conversation and the space provided, I left the multitracked methods of the previous Module behind and focused on longer, improvised performances using a standardized patch.

One of these performances became Buchlaworks: Module III.
